The all-new Honda Ridgeline is the only pickup truck in the America to have received top safety ratings from both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the U.S. government. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline, which is the first and only pickup to have earned the 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick+2 rating, has also earned a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 5-Star Overall Vehicle Rating1.

The Ridgeline earned the 5-star Overall Vehicle Rating by scoring a rating of five stars for side crash tests for both front and rear seats, five stars in the frontal crash tests for driver and passengers and four stars in the rollover tests.

Every 2017 Honda vehicle features a standard multi-angle rearview camera, as well as such standard safety features as , an anti-lock braking system, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control and Advance Compatibility Engineering body structure.
