Although drivers the world over have had a hard time not falling in love with the Honda Civic sedan, many in the U.S. have wondered what it would be like to finally have a five-door option available stateside. Absent from the brand’s U.S. portfolio since the millennium, a hatchback option has debuted with the car’s tenth generation and is set to go on sale soon.
Unveiled in concept form earlier this year, the production iteration of the Civic hatchback looks quite similar to its prototypical forebear. The same mesh can be seen on the rear bumper, and there’s a centerline exhaust that looks quite stylish to our eyes. On the inside, we expect most of the instrumentation to carry over from the sedan, and the driving dynamics to be just as sporty. That, of course, is backed up by the presence of the 1.5-liter turbo, which comes standard on all hatchback trims.
