Honda is teasing its loyal fans of the Civic.
In a recent announcement, Honda said that its Civic Type R Concept will be front and center at next month's Geneva Motor Show.
In advance of the big reveal, Honda released a teaser sketch of the stunning new car. The two-door hatchback sports a futuristic design that recalls something out of a Star Trek movie.
If the final result looks anything like the rendered image than we're all in for a big treat next month.
Traditionally, a concept car has been years from making its showroom debut, but that's not the case with the Type R. The hatchback is almost production ready. It's certainly possible that the car Honda rolls out for auto show will be the version ready to hit roads in 2015.
Honda's own team of designer and engineers has dubbed the Type R as a "Racing car for the road." Under the hood, the car will support a 2.0-liter, turbocharged engine that will generate more than 280 horsepower via a six-speed gear shift.
As if that's not enough news for one day, Honda will also take the wraps off its brand new NSX supercar in Geneva. There's a reason Honda took home the Manufacturers' Championship of the 2013 World Touring Car Championship.
At Fox Honda, we couldn't be more excited about the innovative new line of car that Honda continues to engineer and manufacture. While we wait for the Type R to be reveal, please visit our Grand Rapids, MI dealership to test drive a new Honda model today.
