We have some fond memories from days of yore spent at the go kart track. For many of us, it was the first time we got to experience the simulated thrill of driving, and you never want that joy to leave. You also want other young people to experience it, too. Honda feels that way, and one of the ways they are looking to get youths interested in driving is by developing a go kart engine.

Now, it's nothing like the ample and efficient full-size engines found on all new Honda models here at Fox Honda, but, we know it has plenty of reliability and power to pique anyone's interest. It is called the GHX50 Kid Karting engine. It's powered by gasoline, and started via ripcord. It sports an HPD-spec clutch for more responsiveness, and has around 200 hours of driving time on it.

The hope is that with these engines and the Honda Racing Line, a program made to get kids interested in driving, that we'll find plenty of new fans who will become informed car people, which of course is always a good thing.
