Four the fourth year in a row, the editors at Green Car Reports announced the winner of their annual Best Car to Buy award. Given the name of their publication, it should come as no surprise that this was a celebration of the model-year vehicles that earned top marks in the way of fuel economy and eco-friendliness. Naturally, they also took things like pricing, safety and drivability into consideration.
From there, they gathered up their picks for the best green vehicles on the market and put each of them through a series of performance tests to determine which model was the best of the best. With so many hybrids and EVs out there, their task was by no means easy. But at the end of the day, it was none other than the 2014 Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid that was ultimately named their Best Car to Buy.
