You might not know that the Japanese automaker, Nissan, not only manufactures the popular models in their home country, but in fact, they do a great deal of production right here in the United States. For example, Marysville, OH is the home to its largest powerplant production facility among other U.S. technical research centers.

It was recently announced that Honda will be contributing nearly $2.7 billion in additional funds to increase production state-wide. A portion of this will go toward creating a new heritage center at the Marysville location showcasing the 30+ years of Honda manufacturing in the United States. Technology has by far been one of the biggest changes since the first year highlighted, 1959, when Honda began manufacturing motorcycles.

Recently, emphasis at the plant has been placed on Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVTs) as part of their transmission production, giving models in the new Honda lineup smooth, comfortable rides and increased fuel efficiency. Manufacture of these parts utilizes new, sophisticated technology.

One of the many reasons Honda can provide such great, quality vehicles is because of the strong North American presence.
